  • 23 Races
    • Practices: 3 sessions of 60-minutes free practice, two held on Friday and one on Saturday
    • Qualifying: 1 session of qualifying to determine the Main Race grid held on Saturday after free practice 3
    • Sprint: a Short-length standalone race. Held on Saturday on selected races
      • For races with Sprint
        • Qualifying moved to Friday and will determine Sunday Main Race grid
        • Free practices decreased to only one session, held before Friday Qualifying
        • Sprint Grid will be determined through the Shootout held in the same day as the Sprint
          • Sprint Shootout features same format as Qualifying with shorter time window (12-10-8 Minutes)
          • The shootout is restricted to only one tyre compound per session (Q1 - Hard, Q2 - Medium, Q3 - Soft)
    • Main Race: Full-length race at approx. 300 kilometres + 1 lap, held on Sunday

  • Reduce porpoising
    • Floor edges raised by 15 millimetres
    • Diffuser throat raised
    • Increased Diffuser edge stiffness with an additional sensor to monitor the porpoising
  • Roll Hoop design
    • Mandatory Rounded top on the roll hoop
  • Front wings slot gap separators
    • Banned
  • Mirror Size
    • Increase from 150mm × 50mm (5.9in × 2.0in) to 200mm × 60mm (7.9in × 2.4in)
  • Weight and Fuel temp allowance
    • Allowed power units weight increased from 150kg (330lb) to 151kg (333lb)
    • Allowed minimum fuel temp changed from 20 °C (68 °F) to 10 °C (50 °F)
      • or 10 °C (18 °F) below ambient temp when cars are operating outside garage areas

    • Allocated tyre sets reduced from 13 to 11 at Two races in this season
      • In those two races, tyres in qualifying is restricted to (Q1) Hard / (Q2) Medium / (Q3) Soft on dry weather
    • New tyre compound to be implemented between old C1 and C2 compounds
    • Budget cap reduced from $142.4m USD to $135m USD
    • Pre-season testing days reduced from 6 to 3 days
  • Sprint
    • Increased from 3 to 6 races
      • Including Azerbaijan, Austria, Belgium, Qatar, United States (COTA) and Brazil in this season
  • Enactment of political gestures
    • Drivers and teams must be granted the FIA's permission before conducting any political statement/protest that would be a breach of the neutrality rules
  • COVID-19 protocols
    • Further steps to relaxing the protocols will be made across the season
